Commons Union Grand Opening Tour

Tuesday, September 24, 2024 | 3:00 p.m.

The newly renovated Hekman Library will be open for business with brand new renovations from phase one of the Commons Union project. Come hear from Calvin University cabinet members about the exciting new layout and see for yourself how the new space enhances the student experience.

Knights Soccer Tailgate

Saturday, October 19, 2024 | 6:00 p.m.

Cheer on the Knights at our new soccer stadium! Hear from Calvin athletics about their new facilities while we show our support for the men's team. Refreshments and game tickets are included!

Handel's Messiah & Reception

Saturday, December 7th, 2024 | 1:30 p.m.

Experience the festive melodies of the Christmas season with the cherished choral presentation of Handel's Messiah, performed by the Oratorio Chorus. Don't miss the opportunity to join us for a special reception before the event in Calvin University's Center Art Gallery. WSS will provide your ticket and reserved seating.

Knights Basketball Suite

Calvin Men's Basketball is ready for a great season with a dynamic team. Come cheer on the Knights and enjoy food and conversation in the Van Noord Arena hospitality suite.

Calvin Theater Company Spring Play

Saturday, April 12, 2025 | 1:00 p.m.

Come experience a classic mystery on stage in the Calvin Theater Company's production of And Then There Were None. At an exclusive reception prior to the show, you'll have the unique opportunity to hear about the creative process behind bringing Agatha Christie's classic tale to life. WSS will provide your ticket and reserved seating.

Spoelhof Sneakers

Saturday, October 5, 2024 - 8:00 am

"Spoelhof Sneakers" will be a team of runners/walkers in the Calvin Homecoming 5k. A a WSS member you will receive complimentary race registration, special perks, and an {optional} modified race route.

You will receive a free race registration, race t-shirt, and special gold bib by using the coupon code "WSS". Please see the below registration information for the sign-up details you need!


Registration Information
  1. Head to calvin.edu/events/classic/
  2. Scroll down and click "Register!"
  3. This will take you to the registration page. Select the "Sign Up" button below the 5k option.
  4. During registration, you will be invited to "join or create a team." Select "Yes", and then select "Spoelhof Sneakers" under "William Spoelhof Society."
  5. When you arrive at "Purchase Summary," submit the coupon code "WSS" to receive your discount. This will bring your total down to zero!

Calvin Start-up Garage Pitch Up Night

Wednesday, November 13, 2024 | 7 – 8:30 p.m.
Location: Calvin CFAC Recital Hall

Join us as we support young entrepreneurs for a fun evening full of creativity, business, and prizes. Calvin Start-Up Garage empowers students to make their business dreams a reality. This event will showcase 12 Calvin Student entrepreneurs as they pitch their creative company ideas to a panel of judges. WSS will have a group of reserved seats at this event.
